Jon Baker is a freelance illustrator whose work is inspired by personal nostalgia as well as Struzan-Esque movie posters and comic book illustration. He works in a stream of conscious way to develop most of his ideas, working mainly on one draft from start to finish. Jon attended the Art Institute of California to his everlasting regret and never graduated. Nine months later he went to school at El Camino Community college where he earned his Associates in Studio Art. In 2020 at the onset of the global pandemic, he graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Practices. He aspires to be a full-time working illustrator for the remainder of his time here on earth, with a little writing and music on the side.
